Great Stroke: Moreno Gets 5 Hits
Monday, June 16th, 2025
5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is Armando Moreno of the Duke City Danger. He tore up the Maple Marauders to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the Duke City 14-3 win today at Legends Park. "Moreno was a tough out today," the Maple manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Armando Moreno singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th.
For the season Moreno is currently batting .300 with 6 home runs and 27 RBIs. In 52 games he has reached base at a .370 rate and scored 34 runs to date.
