Hitting Streak Still Alive for Nelson Sunday, May 25th, 2025 Bill Nelson of the Brooklyn Black Knights just keeps going and going. The hot-hitting left fielder went 2-for-5 in his team's 8-4 victory over the New York Mafia at Don Corleone Park and extended his hitting streak to 31 games. "He is definitely on a roll right now" said a Mafia pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway." When asked about his performance, Nelson said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." Bill Nelson grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. So far this year Nelson is hitting .409 with 5 home runs. |
