Four-bagger Feast: Young Slugs 3 for Seattle Thursday, April 10th, 2025 Going... Going... Gone! Joe Young did it three times in the Seattle-Duke City game at Sick's Stadium. Three home runs in one game -- but his team lost -- the Danger outscored the Sasquatch 13-12. "Gosh, it's a shame we didn't win this game. I get my name in the record book, but we lose the game." For the day the Seattle right fielder went 4-for-4 against Duke City with 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting. "I was in a groove," he said, "and every pitch they tossed up there looked like a basketball." Commenting after the game to the press, the semi-elated Young explained, "I tell you what, I was surprised because I didn't think the last ball had enough to get out. I thought it was just going to be a long out." Joe Young hit a two-run home run off Leonardo Reynoso in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Leonardo Reynoso in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Gesang Kartosuwiryo in the 8th and walked in the 9th. |
