Hops Chill Williams's Hot Streak Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 Dallas right fielder Ron Williams came into today's game against the San Diego Hops on a hot streak. When it was over, the Hops did their job very well. They beat the Dallas Texans 6-1 and cooled him off at the same time. San Diego stopped Williams without a hit and his 20-game hitting streak came to an end. The 29-year-old Williams only had a few words to say after the game, "I had a chance to do it and I came up short." His manager commented, "What Ron did was exciting and quite an achievement. It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 20 games in a row. I'm really proud of him. And I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play." |
