Gerlach Tests Positive, League Suspends Him 80 Games Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 League officials notified the Minnesota Berserkers that starting pitcher Gerry Gerlach recently failed a drug test and will be punished for violating the league drug policy. He will be suspended for 80 games. The Berserkers general manager released a statement that read, "We are sorry that one of our players has broken the rules. Gerry has apologized to our team and our fans and has said it will not happen again. He realizes that this type of behavior could ruin his baseball career. Both Gerry and our organization will do all we can to remedy this situation." |
