Monday, November 11th, 2024
Eureka Hornets closer Claude Howard said he loves to come into the game when the outcome is in jeopardy.
He certainly did a good job of impacting his team's outcomes this season, as he has been named the winner of the 2024 Reliever of the Year Award for the Thurman Munson League.
"There's no better feeling than running in from the bullpen with the game on the line and your heart pumping," Howard said.
On the season, the Fowler, Indiana native had 39 saves in 72 relief appearances, 123 strikeouts in 85.1 innings and a record of 10 wins and 4 losses to go with his 2.11 ERA.
Ashoka Pancholi of the Eureka Hornets finished second in voting, while Adrien Clément of the Maple Marauders finished third.
