Palma Gets Award for Relief Work
Monday, November 11th, 2024
Manny Palma of the Montreal Bandits said he never set out to win the Roberto Clemente League Reliever of the Year Award this season, but he'll certainly take it.
"2024 was a pretty good year for me, that much is obvious," he said. "This is icing on the cake."
The 29-year-old out of San Juan, Costa Rica fashioned a 1.99 ERA this season over 68 innings of work. He made 69 relief appearances and had 47 saves, 107 strikeouts, 25 walks and a record of 2 wins and no losses.
Tokaji Goto of the Brooklyn Black Knights finished second in voting, while Andrés Nevárez of the So Cal Republic finished third.
