Hot Bat Cooled, Young Hitless Against Danger Friday, September 20th, 2024 The Seattle Sasquatch won the game 6-1 over the Duke City Danger. At the same time the Danger mound corps did what no other team could do. They stopped the 25-game hitting streak of Sasquatch right fielder Joe Young. But that was still not enough to win the game. "Our pitchers might have focused a bit too much on stopping Young," the Duke City manager commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Sasquatch have other hitters, and they did their job today." To date Young has chalked up a .327 average with 32 home runs, driven in 96 runs and scored 89 times. |
