5-for-5 Day for Jackson Thursday, September 5th, 2024 Who needs batting practice? Allan Jackson of Waco apparently doesn't as he battered San Diego with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 15-3 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 5 day... will my name be in the record books now?" Allan Jackson doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Cipriano Sousa in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. On the season, Jackson is batting .282 with 17 home runs and 58 RBIs. He has played in 108 games. |
