More Injury Problems For Seattle's Yong-hong Zhu
Sunday, September 1st, 2024
All is not well with Yong-hong Zhu in his recovery from a knee sprain.
The 21-year-old Sasquatch center fielder has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Zhu and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday.
"Yesterday he was feeling pretty good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it."
A post-workout examination revealed that Zhu had re-injured himself and would now miss at least 5 days because of it.
Thus far this season Zhu is hitting .368 with no home runs, 2 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 21 hits in 57 at-bats and has played in 14 games.
