Vuppula Tags Sasquatch for 5 Hits Sunday, August 25th, 2024 Next time the Sasquatch might think twice about pitching to Apupa Vuppula. Today at Sick's Stadium the Quebec second baseman really burned Seattle pitching, going 5-for-5 in the Armada 8-4 triumph. "When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Apupa Vuppula singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ronnie Haynes in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Vuppula has hit 4 home runs and posted a .305 batting average. |
