Harris Puts Spell on Portland Saturday, August 24th, 2024 "Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage. Well, good pitching also beats bad batting. In his postgame interview the Portland manager said, "Tim Harris made us look real bad today. He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking." Harris had 5 strikeouts, 1 walk and allowed only 6 hits as the Dallas Texans whitewashed the Portland Beavers 5-0. In 27 starts this year Harris has recorded a 15-10 record and a 3.92 ERA. |
