Hall Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 It seemed that Kansas City catcher Curt Hall could do no wrong as the Tornadoes kayoed the Sasquatch 13-2 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Seattle pitchers couldn't get him out as Hall seemed to know which pitches they were throwing. "I think the Tornadoes were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Seattle fan. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Hall in the postgame press interview. Curt Hall singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Ronnie Haynes in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Hall has 23 home runs and a .339 batting average. |
