Cook Has 'Open Door' Policy with Players
Thursday, August 1st, 2024
Make no mistake, Brian Cook likes to consider himself a player's manager.

The Georgia Grays bench boss says he has an "open door" policy and allows his players to come talk to him about anything - baseball, or otherwise.

"Some days a guy will just be having a bad day, or trouble at home and want to come chat," he said. "I've never understood managers that close themselves off or aren't open to their players. These guys are your family for most of the year, you've got to treat them that way."

The members of the team certainly appreciate the manager's approach, according to Freddie Bisiligitwa.

"He's a great guy and has helped a lot of us out by being open and someone we can go to," he said. "It's nice to have a manager that's so personable and willing to get to know his players."
