Smith Takes TML Top Starter Trophy Thursday, August 1st, 2024 Phoenix Smith took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the Thurman Munson League Pitcher of the Month award for July. The 23-year-old Toreros starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 4-2 won-lost record in 6 starts. This month he fanned 39 batters in 48 innings and compiled a 2.81 ERA. Season-to-date Smith has rung up 10 wins and 10 losses in 25 appearances. He has an ERA of 4.71 and has fanned 145 batters in 168 innings. |
