Bowman Goes 5-for-5 Monday, July 29th, 2024 On top of the Kansas City hit parade today was George Bowman. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Tornadoes to a 8-5 victory over the Jersey Jesters. The sweet swinging first baseman told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Jesters wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." George Bowman hit a two-run triple in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. So far this season Bowman has hit .369 with 5 home runs, 69 RBIs and and scored 69 times. |
