Michael Burton Sidelined for 9 Months Sunday, July 28th, 2024 Kansas City learned today that they will be without closer Michael Burton for 9 months. Burton was injured throwing a pitch and sustained a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. He was hurt in the game against the Georgia Grays. This year Burton has 13 saves. In 49 relief appearances he has hurled 52 innings, fanned 42 and given up 12 walks with a 4-0 record. The Kansas City reliever has recorded a 2.77 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .225 when he is in the game. |
