Watson Batters Havana Big Time Wednesday, July 24th, 2024 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Joe Watson. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Watson went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Havana pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond at The Humidor, he had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. And the Brooklyn Black Knights had a 11-4 victory over the Stogies. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Joe Watson singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this year Watson is hitting .331 with 15 home runs, 75 RBIs and 59 runs scored. |
