Razor-Sharp Larcombe Blanks Havana Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024 Rod Larcombe of the Brooklyn Black Knights just toyed with the Havana Stogies today, blanking them 5-0. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 5-hit shutout with 6 strikeouts and 3 walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Larcombe said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." One of his teammates said it was easy to play behind him today. "It was like he's just playing with the hitters and doing whatever he wanted to do." This year Larcombe has made 8 starts, thrown 63.2 innings, fanned 51 batters and walked 21. His won-lost record is 1-4 with a 5.51 ERA. |
