Bishop Hits in 25 Straight Games Sunday, July 21st, 2024 Long hitting streaks don't happen very often and when they happen it perks up everybody's interest. No one knows how long it will go -- it could end tomorrow -- but baseball fans and Alan Bishop are enjoying the moment right now. The 28-year-old Jersey second baseman extended his string to 25 consecutive games in The Royal Court at Jersey Yards today. Bishop got 1 hit, but the Cabo San Lucas Toreros got the victory. They toppled the Jesters 14-6. Alan Bishop singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and walked in the 8th. Bishop has a .345 average and a .393 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 76 hits, 11 home runs and driven in 39 runs. |
