Republic, Hops Confirm Deal Thursday, July 11th, 2024 31-year-old RHP Carlos Ruíz, 27-year-old minor league LF Ron Acker and $2,500,000 in cash will now be playing for the San Diego Hops and 30-year-old RHP Kazuhiko Kanno will be suiting up for the So Cal Republic. The trade was announced today at a press conference by club officials. In 12 starts this season, Kanno has recorded 1 win and absorbed 6 losses.
