So Cal Republic Ship Kent to Waco Friday, July 5th, 2024 The So Cal Republic have parted ways with 32-year-old minor league RHP Nicolas Rodrigues, 34-year-old minor league 3B Mashashi Kogawa, 32-year-old minor league RF Jeff Kent, 22-year-old minor league RHP Domingo Moreno and 25-year-old minor league LF Juan De La Cruz in a trade with the Waco RedWolves for 31-year-old minor league RHP Carlos Ruíz. The Republic general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning. In his career Kent has compiled a .283 batting average and collected 630 hits, 17 home runs and 209 RBIs. Ruíz has made 16 starts, tossed 68.2 innings, struck out 68 batters and walked 65. His record is 3-4 with a 6.42 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .258 batting average. |
