Roberto Clemente League Names Rookie of Month Monday, July 1st, 2024 Youngster Jejomar Butardo emerged as the latest Roberto Clemente League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from San Diego deserved the honor, batting .361 with 4 home runs and 19 RBI. Is the month of June a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Butardo enjoy the limelight. So far this season Butardo has put up a .364 batting average with 44 hits, 4 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
