Great Stroke: Blair Gets 5 Hits
Sunday, June 2nd, 2024
5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book and the latest honoree is Ralph Blair of the Waco RedWolves. He tore up the Duke City Danger to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the Waco 16-15 win today at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard . "Blair was a tough out today," the Duke City manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Ralph Blair singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Yodo Nakashima in the 9th, hit an RBI single in the 10th and walked in the 11th.
For the year Blair is batting .277 with 15 home runs, 40 RBIs and 31 runs scored.
