Hot Bat Cooled, Bowman Hitless Against Jesters Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 The Jersey Jesters did something to George Bowman no team had done for the last 22 games -- they held him hitless and stopped his consecutive-game hitting streak. But they didn't stop the Tornadoes. Kansas City came away with a 9-5 victory at Debris Field. Commenting on the demise of the streak, the 23-year-old first baseman told BNN, "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever, but it was a good ride while it lasted." This year Bowman has socked 85 hits in 228 at-bats for a .373 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .422 pace and his totals also include 33 RBIs and 42 runs scored. |
