The Quebec first baseman had a field day in the 13-9 triumph over the San Francisco Earthquakes, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Smith must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too.
