Anderson 5-for-6 for Quebec Monday, May 27th, 2024 What a day for Mike Anderson of the Quebec Armada! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped San Francisco pitching apart at Lucky 7 Ballpark and sparked the Armada to a 13-9 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Anderson told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that." Mike Anderson singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. This season Anderson has hit 5 home runs and posted a .241 batting average. |
