Howard Earns 300th Save In Hornets Win Over Berserkers

In an effort that will possibly punch his ticket to the ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE Hall of Fame, Claude Howard notched his 300th career save today at The Nest, leading the Eureka Hornets to a 3-1 triumph over the Minnesota Berserkers. Known for his calm demeanor in the heat of competition, the 32-year-old Howard was similarly collected after the game. "To me it's just a number. I wasn't really nervous or thinking too much about it. I'm just trying to make my pitches and get hitters out," he said. The star reliever allowed no hits and no runs, while working 1 innings in recording his milestone save.
Howard has accounted for 300 saves in his career.
