Thurman Munson League Names Bergeron Best Batter Monday, April 29th, 2024 A battle-tested Mike Bergeron declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 34-year-old Mile High designated hitter collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .619 average, 13 hits in 21 at-bats, 5 home runs, 13 RBIs and 9 runs scored. In the current season, Bergeron has put up a .396 batting average with 38 hits, 12 home runs, 25 RBI and scored 22 runs. |
