Fernando Medro Sidelined for 11-12 Months Sunday, April 28th, 2024 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Waco RedWolves, Hornets reliever Fernando Medro was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 11-12 months with a damaged elbow ligament. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Eureka skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. So far this season Medro has picked up 1 save in 5 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 1-1 won-lost mark with a 3.38 ERA and fanned 7 batters in 8 innings. |
