Bombers Lose Henry for 16 Months
Thursday, April 25th, 2024
Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Cal Henry of the Bombers knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Jersey Jesters while throwing a pitch. Because of a torn ulnar collateral ligament, the South Carolina reliever is expected to miss 16 months. Henry was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
This year Henry has 11 relief appearances with no saves, 0-1 season record and a 1.93 ERA. He has hurled 18.2 innings, given up 19 hits, struck out 16 and walked 2. Opposing clubs have batted .275 against the South Carolina reliever.
