Top Pitcher Award Announced by TML Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 The Eureka Hornets have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Paul Barrett, this year's Thurman Munson League Cy Young Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Barrett compiled a 17-7 record in 32 starts, tallied 186 strikeouts in 227 innings and recorded a 2.93 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .232 batting average against him. Adrien Clément of the San Francisco Earthquakes finished second in voting, while Jeff Kimball of the Eureka Hornets finished third. |
