Bandits Halt Cheung's Hit Streak Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 Lu-po-teh Cheung saw his 25-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Texans 4-1 victory over Montreal at Metroplex Park. The 26-year-old designated hitter was held hitless in 4 at-bats by Bandits, but his Dallas teammates produced enough offense to garner the win. Talking to reporters after the game, Cheung was upbeat. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit. How could you be unhappy after you have hit in 25 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. And I am really happy that we won another ballgame today. Life is good." For the year Cheung is batting .306 with 31 home runs, 97 RBIs and 81 runs scored. |
