Kawanari Takahashi Out of Action Sunday, July 9th, 2023 Kawanari Takahashi at first refused to leave today's Pax River-Washington game after he suffered torn ankle ligaments while making a defensive play. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Washington center fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Takahashi out of action for 4 weeks. This season Takahashi has hit at a .319 clip with 47 RBIs, 10 home runs and 48 runs scored. He has played in 87 games. |
