Seiichi Iwamoto Out for 5-6 Weeks Saturday, July 1st, 2023 The Hornets will be minus Seiichi Iwamoto for about 5-6 weeks after the center fielder suffered an elbow sprain while throwing the ball in a recent game against Portland. Iwamoto and the Eureka skipper were hoping further examination might show there was less damage than originally thought and he would be absent a shorter duration. This year Iwamoto is hitting .357, produced 36 RBIs and 4 home runs, scored 68 times and gotten on base at a .427 rate. |
