Thurman Munson League Names Rookie of Month Saturday, July 1st, 2023 Youngster Wayne Dougherty emerged as the latest Thurman Munson League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Jacksonville deserved the honor, batting .356 with no home runs and 8 runs batted in. Is the month of June a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Dougherty enjoy the limelight. Dougherty is presently batting .364 with no home runs, 14 runs scored and 8 RBIs. His OBP is .407. |
