Redford Stretches Hit String to 20 Friday, June 30th, 2023 The Patriots won the game today, but you would have been hard pressed to find anyone talking about it. The focus seemed to be on right fielder Rob Redford extending his hitting streak to 20 games by going 1-for-4 in the game. "Sure we are happy that we won, but seeing Rob extend his streak was also special," said a jubilant Manhattan Beach manager. "He's a special player who is capable of doing some amazing things at the plate." For the record, the Patriots defeated the Pax River Psychos 5-2 at Stars & Stripes Stadium. Rob Redford grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. Redford is swinging at a .345 pace on the year with 14 home runs, 53 RBIs and 68 runs scored. He has played in 79 games. |
