Ríos Batters Kansas City Big Time
Friday, June 30th, 2023
It was a sensational day at the plate for Pablo Ríos as he led the charge to a 19-6 win over the Tornadoes. The Georgia second baseman was pure misery for the Kansas City pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 7 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Tornadoes told BNN reporters after the game, "Ríos put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Pablo Ríos flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This season in 70 games Ríos is batting .307 with 15 home runs, 52 RBIs and has scored 53 times.
