Portland Loses Troy Fountain Monday, June 19th, 2023 Medical officials from the Portland Beavers reported that the club's 30-year-old closer, Troy Fountain, suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow in yesterday's matchup against the South Carolina Bombers while throwing a pitch. Fountain is expected to miss 8-9 months of action. Thus far this year Fountain has picked up 11 saves. He has also compiled a 0-3 won-lost mark with a 2.60 ERA and in 34.2 innings fanned 45. |
