Reader Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 The San Diego Hops stopped the Georgia Grays today 5-4 and Kyle Reader was able to hit safely again. The San Diego left fielder got 1 hit and ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. Reader was excited after the victory and told the press, "I want to get a hit every time up. I want to get a hit every game I play. I want to win every game for the greatest fans in the world, Hops fans!" Kyle Reader flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This year Reader has batted at a .381 pace with 88 hits, no home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 45 times. |
