Verity Slams 5 Hits for Jersey Saturday, May 6th, 2023 Today the Jesters downed the Patriots 13-2 as Ron Verity sprayed hits all over Stars & Stripes Stadium in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The Jersey third baseman said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Ron Verity grounded out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Sotatsu Hayagawa in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Verity is batting .324 with 33 hits, 8 home runs, 21 RBIs, 9 walks, .375 OBP and has scored 15 runs. |
