Larrison Hits for the Cycle Friday, April 21st, 2023 At Don Corleone Park today Ray Larrison led Brooklyn to a 24-1 victory over the Mafia by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's most difficult feats. The Black Knights right fielder told reporters after the game, "Most people think the triple is the hardest one to get, but today, it was the homer... because the ball wasn't carrying. When I took it deep, I expected the ball to die on the warning track. Seeing the umpire give me the signal to circle the bases was sweet." In addition to going 5-7, Larrison chalked up 4 runs batted in and scored 4 runs in an exceptional performance. Ray Larrison flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Manuel Romero in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This season Larrison is hitting .398 with 5 home runs. |
