John Brooks Suffers Injury Monday, February 27th, 2023 John Brooks at first refused to leave today's Duke City-So Cal game after he suffered a sprained thumb while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty So Cal second baseman said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Brooks out of action for 8 weeks. |
