Frend's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback Friday, October 21st, 2022 All is not well with Steve Frend in his recovery from a strained hip muscle. The 34-year-old Danger left fielder has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Frend and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday. "Yesterday he was feeling pretty good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it." A postworkout examination revealed that Frend had reinjured himself and would now miss at least 1-2 weeks because of it. For the year Frend has hit at a .341 clip with 79 RBIs, 24 home runs and 102 runs scored. |
