Hit Parade: Soucy Pops 5 Hits Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 It was a hits blitz for George Soucy at Sick's Stadium. The Duke City Danger first baseman tore into Seattle for 5 hits in 6 at-bats and wrote his name into the record book. But it wasn't enough to win the game. The Seattle Sasquatch swept past the Danger 13-12 to ruin the day for him. The Duke City manager bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game. The Sasquatch got too many good looks today, and we paid for it." George Soucy flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 10th. So far this season Soucy is hitting .318 with 19 home runs, 80 RBIs and 97 runs scored. He has 170 hits in 534 at-bats and a .399 OBP. |
