Ávila Crowned Batter of the Month in August Thursday, September 1st, 2022 A hot-hitting Carlos Ávila punished RCL pitchers in August, hitting .360 in 26 games while racking up 13 home runs, 32 RBIs and 27 runs scored. With those numbers it came as no surprise that San Diego's 27-year-old center fielder earned Roberto Clemente League Batter of the Month honors. Batting .298 to date, Ávila has 22 home runs and 79 RBIs. |
