RCL Player of the Week Named Monday, August 29th, 2022 At the age of 27, Carlos Ávila might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The San Diego center fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .462 batting average. For his efforts Ávila collected the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 26 at-bats, 3 home runs and 7 RBIs last week in 6 games. This season in 106 games, Ávila has hit at a .304 clip with 136 hits, 22 home runs, 79 RBIs and 77 runs scored. |
