Streak Finally Over, Nash Held Hitless Sunday, August 28th, 2022 The Las Vegas Jokers defeated the So Cal Republic 7-1 today at Lucky 7 Ballpark, but Roy Nash's 20-game hitting string was snapped and went to the wayside. Nash went hitless in 3 at-bats. "I enjoyed the streak," the first baseman said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the 'W' today. That's all that really counts." Nash has a .316 average and a .361 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 143 hits, 14 home runs and driven in 75 runs. |
