Toyoda Selected Top Player Monday, August 22nd, 2022 Akio Toyoda is respected by most Kansas City Tornadoes fans for his no-frills style of play. The 30-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .462 average (12-26) with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Thus far this year Toyoda is hitting .314 with 36 home runs, 123 RBIs and 88 runs scored. |
