Danger Smith Down with Injury Friday, August 19th, 2022 Edgar Smith at first refused to leave today's Eureka-Duke City game after he suffered a hamstring strain while throwing the ball. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Duke City left fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Smith out of action for 6 weeks. To date this season Smith is hitting .297 with 15 home runs. |
